All you need to know about the upcoming Blind Gallery Edition
Hello art fans!
After a few months in the making, it is finally time to reveal details about the third Blind Gallery event.
The Seed Edition!
Why Seed Edition?
This Blind Gallery marks the first time we showcase purely coded collections. The artists have created four generative collections, celebrating the seed, or the first Blind Gallery exploration into truly native blockchain art.
In addition, generative art is highly related to randomization, which requires a “seed” to create a random value. A seed number is the beginning of generative collections; we wanted to ensure this edition represents that.
What is the process?
If you have participated in the previous editions (1st and Bear Market Edition), the process will be similar, with a few improvements.
Here is a step-by-step summarization:
Purchase a Mint Pass on fxhash.
Check out the collection’s previews, join the conversation over Twitter/Discord with other collectors, and listen to Twitter Spaces with special guests from the generative art world.
Pay attention to hints and the story behind each artwork to make your decision.
Exchange your Mint Pass on our site - each mint pass can be exchanged for a free allowlist spot in the selected collection.
The Mint Pass
The mint pass - designed by a mysterious artist - can be exchanged for an allowlist spot in your favorite collection.
Remember:
You must exchange your mint pass on our website.
You must exchange your mint pass before the exchange period ends (Feb 13th).
The Art
We are super excited about the artwork created for this edition.
Each collection is quite unique, the lineup is extremely diverse, and the collections/artists play well with the hints we’ve prepared to help you guess - if you put the time - in advance.
Open Call Winner
One of the participants was the winner of the generative open call that had over 60 submissions. Their identity will be revealed together with the rest of the lineup.
In total, there will be four collections showcased in this edition. Again, these are all generative coded collections minted on fxhash. This means each mint pass gives you access to a unique 1/1 piece.
Important Dates
Reserve Sales
We ran a poll, and the Blind Gallery Club Members decided the reserves period should last 24 hours. During this time, Club members can purchase a mint pass at a discounted price.
Premium and Legendary Blind Gallery Club holders will get their airdrops during this time.
Public Sale
The remaining Mint Passes will be sold on a Public Sale (details TBD).
Exchange Period
The Exchange Period will last 5 days (8-13, Feb).
Artist Reveal and Mint
On Feb 15th, the artists will be revealed, and all the collections will be available to mint on fxhash. Only those with allowlist access (obtained by exchanging a Mint Pass) can mint for 0 Tezos.
We have updated the procedure to ensure all the collections are minted by the official artist wallet while ensuring secrecy until the end.
Hints, Challenges, and Twitter Spaces
We will begin releasing the collections previews and hints during these days (starting soon).
Challenges and Twiter Spaces will give you access to the Blind Gallery Badges.
